You can view the cost per package and their hours by searching for their location on Kinek’s website. They start at $5 per package and it goes up by weight. They are also conveniently open on Saturday’s.
You can sign up for the service over at kinek.com to receive the full shipping address and to also receive email and text message alerts when your package(s) arrive.

To look for locations that are not along the border you can visit http://www.kinek.com and click on ‘Find a KinekPoint’. I don’t believe there is a current location in Portland, Oregon at the moment however.

That isn’t a problem. Just be sure to provide a copy of your ID and order confirmation to your friend. To make it easier, you can also have your friend set up a Kinek account under their name and then order the item using their Kinek address. This way we only need to check their ID and it will make it easier for them to cross the border with your order.

I have just signed up with Kinek and shipped a package to Edge Logistics (Blaine). My question is how long does Edge Logistics generally take to update the Kinek info with regards to the arrival of my package. Is it possible for me to head down there once my UPS tracking info is updated or must I wait for Edge Logistics/Kinek to contact me first? I am asking because i need to travel overseas as soon as I receive the package and any form of speeding up of the process will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Justin,
It usually takes a few hours for Edge Logistics to process all the packages. If you’re travelling from Canada you could head down as soon as UPS tracking shows as delivered. This would give them a few hours to enter it while you’re travelling. The only possible issue with this if it was being delivered by USPS. They sometimes show items as delivered when they are actually only at the local post office. We’ve had this happen before.

Our KinekPoints can store items for up to 30 days unless otherwise specified on their profile. If you needed a couple months I would suggest signing up and then calling your KinekPoint directly to see if you can work out what extended storage costs would be if they allowed it.
What happens after 30 days? I have a small package there that I need to pick up, but your hours do not work with my schedule (I didn’t check that before I signed up with you).
It is a very small package – probably only 1 lb.
What are the fees after 30 days? Or is there a way you can forward it into Canada?

It is highly recommended that you pick up your item within the 30 day limit. KinekPoints can charge extended storage fees under their own discretion after 30 days. You would need to contact them directly to find out what these fees are. You can have a friend pick up the package. They will need a copy of your photo ID and the receipt for the item with them.
