Wellesley Island Border Locations

Do you live in the Kingston, Brockville, or Gananoque region, or planning on driving down to Watertown, NY? We have a KinkePoint border location on Wellesley Island that will act as a US shipping address for Canadians. That means you can use this location to order from US websites that don’t ship to Canada. You can also use our Wellesley Island locations to avoid expensive international shipping and brokerage fees.

Where are our locations on Wellesley Island and what are they called?

We have two locations, Bay Brokerage and Wellesley Island Building Supply. These locations are right beside each other and are only 5 minutes past the border crossing.

What size items can they receive?

Both Bay Brokerage and Wellesley Island Building Supply can accept items of ANY size and ANY weight, so order away! (Check Kinek.com profile pages for updates to size limitations before ordering).

How do I ship to these locations?

1) Register for a free Kinek account at www.kinek.com

2) Complete your profile

3) Select Bay Brokerage or Wellesley Island Building Supply on Wellesley Island as your KinekPoint

4) You will now be presented with your new KinekPoint shipping address. Use this address when ordering online or from a catalog.

If you have any questions, feel free to chat with someone from Kinek using the LiveChat feature in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen either on this site or over on Kinek.com.

As a new Kinek subscriber I placed a small order to be went to the Wellesley Island point. I am not sure that I included my Kinek number on the order (I didn’t read the instructions too thoroughly I guess) so I am wondering if I will be notified when the parcel arrives. I am tracking on UPS but it stops at Poughkeepsie. Can I contact Wellesley Island Building Supply directly?
Thanks for your help and I won’t make this mistake again.

      Hi Lorraine,

You may or may not receive a notification when your package arrives since you forgot to add your Kinek#. We do require it so please make sure you remember it for all future orders. You can also add your tracking number to your Kinek account and we will let you know when it arrives that way as well.

You can always call your KinekPoint directly. Their phone number can be found on their profile when you are logged into your Kinek account.

I am thinking of ordering a sofa online from a dealer I know in North Carolina. This item is expensive and I’m worried about shipping it this way. Where are items held and how are they held? The shipper will want to take this off the truck and it’s heavy! I think I can go pick it up BUT I certainly do NOT want it just shoved someplace outside.

Is this method of shipping good for larger items? If this works out well I will order the rest of my furniture this way.

This is a great location for those who live in Kingston!

      Hi Ruth,

The Wellesley Island Building Supply is a large store and accepts items of any size and weight. They have use of a forklift and your furniture would be stored inside. What I would suggest is signing up and choosing this location, and then calling them to ensure they meet all your specifications. After talking with them I think you will be a bit more rest assured that your valuable furniture is in good hands.

Hello, if I were to order something to either Wellesley Island Building Supply or Bay Brokerage, would I have to pay a fee to them when I pick up my package in exchange for receiving it?

    • Jeremy February 6, 2013 at 8:25 am #

Yes, a per package fee. You can view each locations fee’s by signing up and adding them to your account. It starts at $5 per package for both locations and goes up by weight.

Hi I just discovered your services. I am interested in making some online purchases with US companies that either do not get involved in shipping to Canada or their postage/handling fees are quite expensive. Given that I live a couple hours away from the border, I would have to plan the trip and I might not be able to get there the week the order arrives. What fees are involved if I have to wait a month to pick up my delivery?

    • Jeremy June 3, 2014 at 6:33 am #

      Hi Christine,

Each location has a per package fee (typically around $5 per package). Most locations give you 30 days to pick up your package, and others are no less than 14 days before prices start to go up.
