      Hi Mike,

Currently, none of our KinekPoints forward packages onto Canada. With Brokerage being involved it becomes much more expensive for the end user and much more time consuming with paperwork and third party companies involved. We provide the most cost effective way to receive your U.S. purchases. You do have 30 days to pick up your item so we hope you still consider using the service!

I am purchasing an ATV near Portland, Maine and want to bring it across the border in Calais, Maine.
Do you have a facility where I could leave my ATV for 72 hours for a fee until they have processed my paperwork.
I can take care of all paperwork and transport I just don’t want to leave the bike in Portland and have to go there twice.
If this is something you offer can you please let me know if I could drop off this Saturday and pick up mid next week.

      Hi Dan,

You certainly can store your ATV in Calais at one of our KinekPoints. Ace Homecenter is open weekends and could handle this for you. You can simply sign up for Kinek and use the shipping address that you receive upon completion of signing up. You will also see the KinekPoints phone number on their profile when your signed in. I would recommend calling them to receive any special instructions.

    Hi Jeremy

I’m looking into buying a round pen for horses it would be about 10 panels about 50 lbs ea is this to big to delever to your location.

    • James April 21, 2011 at 10:02 am #

      Hi Kevin,
It shouldn’t be a problem as we can handle any size/any weight at this KinekPoint. To be sure, could you send the approximate dimensions (length would be the important one) to the following email address?

      KinekSupport at Kinek dot com

We just want to confirm that we can safely get the panels in depending on their length.

How long can a parcel be left until it is picked up? The reason I am asking this is that I do not know how long it will take to arrive and then I have to arrange to come down and pick it up.

    • Jeremy June 22, 2011 at 5:42 am #

      Hi Lindsay,

You have 30 days from the date of arrival to pick your item up.

Is the Calais Ace Home Center open on July 3, 4, or 5th? If yes, what hours? Thanks.

    • Jeremy June 30, 2011 at 10:27 am #

      Hi Ed,

Ace Homecenter is closed July 4th, but their hours on July 3rd and 5th are their normal business hours.

Hope you have a great long weekend!

      Hi Mario,

You simply need to provide your friend with a copy of your photo ID and the receipt for the item you purchased.

Hi. I am wanting to buy a snowboard but wont be in the USA until Jan 2012. They want to charge a lot to ship it to a friend in Canada. How much extra would I be charged to store this until I can come through and pick it up? Thanks.

    • Jeremy September 26, 2011 at 12:22 pm #

      Hi Cat,

Our KinekPoints do have a 30 day limit on packages but Ace Homecenter may quote you a price for extended storage. You would need to get a hold of them directly however. First step is to sign up for Kinek at and then choose Ace Homecenter as your KinekPoint. That will give you access to their direct phone number which is listed on their profile when logged into your account.

    Hello Jeremy,

I live about an hour from Calais, ME and looking to get an item dropped off at Ace HomeCentre, are their winter hours the same as what’s listed on the website, open 7 days? Also, is the base rate $3 per package that I would have shipped there?

    Thank you for your time.

    • Jeremy January 10, 2012 at 11:50 am #

      Hi Julia,

Yes, their hours are the same as what is on our website, open 7 days a week! They do start at $3 per package under 10 lbs and it goes up by weight.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask!

We have encountered in the past that some companies will only ship to the owner’s address and not to someone elses in addition to only shipping in the US. We considered opening a PO box for that circumstance. Is the set-up similar to a PO box? What are the chances of the companies with shipping restrictions shipping to Kinek?

    • Jeremy January 18, 2012 at 9:02 am #

      Hi Gretta,

There are some companies that will only allow people with a US Billing address to shop on their site, but I would say over 90% will allow you to ship to a KinekPoint and have a Canadian billing address. We do not offer PO boxes, we offer full shipping addresses, which are professional trusted businesses.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Hi Jeremy,

I’m looking at shipping options for two sets of home theater seating. The dimensions are 114.5 inches L X 37.5 inches W X 40 inches H each. Do you know if any of your KinekPoint locations in Calais, Maine accept shipments of such as size?

    Thanks for your help.

    • James May 17, 2012 at 6:25 pm #

Hi Shannon! A shipment of that size won’t be any problem, either our Ace Homecenter or AN Deringer KinekPoint will be able to handle the heaters no problem. Give us a shout if you have any questions signing up for a Kinek account.

I am just wondering if your Calais, Maine location will accept and store an SUV. If so, what is the approximate cost per day?

  14. Julie August 20, 2012 at 11:55 am #

I do have some boxes there and I am unable to go and pick them, I am trying to find a solution.
Do you know if us postal or other company would pick up to ship them to Canada?
I had someone that was suppose to go but they cant.. been trying to find a solution for the past two weeks now.

My packages have been there for at least 3 weeks.

    • Jeremy August 28, 2012 at 9:50 am #

      Hi Julie,

I would recommend contacting Kinek at This would not be the place to ask these types of urgent questions. There is a 30 day limit and the packages must be picked up from the location. They cannot be picked up from a courier or freight truck. Someone with a copy of your photo ID and receipt of the item will need to come down before the 30 day limit.

  15. JG October 17, 2012 at 7:13 am #

I was just wondering what type of insurance does the customer have that the shipment will indeed be there when picking it up at the center (Ace Homecenter). In other words that it’s safe.

    • Jeremy October 24, 2012 at 7:45 am #

      Hi JG,

Each business has their own insurance and Kinek also provides insurance up to $2500. This is just for the 30 days that its at the location however.

I wanted to have 3 or 4 very small (each under 10″x10″x10″) and light (under 2 pounds average) shipped to Kinek . Do I get charged for each box or can they be stored together for one rate. What is the per parcel or total cost for 3 or 4 items of this size ?

    Dave G

    • Jeremy October 21, 2014 at 9:01 am #

This type of question is better asked over at Kinek support at However to this point it always has been a per package service.

where is the closest place to Ottawa, Ontario?

  18. Tracey Barker January 4, 2015 at 1:00 am #

I understand their is a new policy about picking up items that have been shipped to Maine and Canadian purchasers requiring a PO BOX number on these orders, can you confirm you now comply with this requirement?

    • Jeremy January 5, 2015 at 5:29 am #

Hi Tracey, It’s not a PO box#, it’s a Kinek#. Once you sign up for Kinek you receive the address and your Kinek#. You simply use the address as advised by your account.
